ARCHITECTURE
It is the art or science of designing and creating buildings Architecture is synonymous with the way of Living the Course teaches us the art or practice of designing and building structures and especially habitable ones
The Course of Architecture envisage not only Science & Technology but Art, Philosophy, Ethnology, Ethics, Sociology, Humanities, Behavioural Science and Cognitive methods of Learning also
Architecture deals with designing of Built and Un built Environment i.e., Building Envelop, Interiors and Landscape Design

Ours is the pioneer Institute imparting Architectural Education in our region approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi
We aim at creating the Architect Professionals who can participate in the development Process who are creative, who experiment and conscious about our environment and social issues

We create the new avenues for future where our students can take a diverse career Architects, Urban Designers, Planners, Interior Designer, Environmentalist, Infrastructure Planner, Sustainable Architects, Landscape Designers, Conservation Architects. Our strength are our students and well qualified experienced Faculty with Practical interface having a passion and flavour for Teaching.
We believe in Experimentation and have a student centric proactive approach. We understand that we have to ” Work Locally to be known Globally”.
INFRASTRUCTURE
We are having a sprawling premises of about 2000 Sq. M. spread on 10.0 acres of land with State of Art Infrastructure Facilities. The Premises provide a conducive environment suitable for learning
We have spacious Learning areas, Interaction Spaces for students, Lecture Halls, well equipped Computer Centre, Resource Centre, Library with a good collection of Books, national & international journals, Audio visual Room, an art Court, Construction yard, Exhibition Space, Auditorium and Drawing Studios which can be Multiplexed. The new premises was recently Inaugurated at the hands of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar in gracious presence of Padma Shree Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and Prof. Uday Gadkari President, Council of Architecture &J our beloved President Adv. Arunkumarji Shelke .
We initiated the process of Joint ventures with various Institutions. In Collaboration with Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Eco-urb, a Planning Firm, Ahmedabad, Kalidas Charitable Trust, Akola, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Research Cell, SGBAU Amravati. School of Architecture, COET Akola participated in the International Design Competition organized by Catalytic Think Tank, Bangalore on Rejuvenation of Heritage Town Badami, Karnataka. Badami is a heritage Town in Badami is a town in Bagalkot District Karnataka
The Proposal was a Sustainable and Holistic Approach to the Revival of its Heritage to enhance the tourist influx. The Concept is derived from An Open Hand where presently the town is having congestion like a closed fist that needs to open up. For this, we proposed a new destinations point for Tourist Arrival on a loop road to avoid the through traffic intervention. The different streets were developed as Traditional / Heritage Street, Green / Renewable Energy Street, and Festival Street with Low Environmental Impact promoting Day Tourism. The Proposal envisaged the issues like Gender-Sensitive Approach, Women’s Participation in Development, with Conservation of Local Social and Cultural Ethos.

STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES / CONTINUININGCONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Our students have active participation at Zonal & National NASA Conventions.
We organize the lecture Series, Continuing Education Programme on Sustainable Architecture and Innovative Construction Techniques. We organize Workshops on Landscape Design, Mrida – Clay Modeling.
We have a Students Activity – Forum – where our students meet various eminent personalities from Architecture, various fields, from Industry and have an interface with them. Our students formed various Clubs for – Art (Art Crunch), Eco-Club, and Music Literature.
OUR SOCIAL INITIATIONS
Our students are socially aware and conscious of our Heritage, Legacy & necessity to conserve it. They address the various issues during their study and curriculum. We have started listing and documenting the Pre & Post Independence Heritage structure in our Region. They study the Vernacular Architecture, Settlement pattern in Human Development & address the urban planning issues.
Innovative Public Toilet Design Competition by School of Architecture & IIA Centre Akola.
SITE VISITS & STUDY TOURS
We arrange site visits of students to construction sites to understand the latest construction techniques. Our students recently visited a site to study Pre Engineered Structures, CSV for sustainable construction techniques, and Gandhi Ashram, Sewagram for Sustainability.
This year our Students had a Study Tour to Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Red fort, Amer Fort, and Jaisalmer and are working on Comparative Study of Urban Planning Principles in chronological order including Sir Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi & Le Corbusier’s Chandigarh. They also studied a 16th Century village Kuladhara in the Thar Desert for settlement pattern in grid iron pattern with the hierarchy of spaces Students studied Contemperory Architects’ works – Charles Correa, Swiss-French Architect Le Corbusier, Stein Doshi, and Bhalla
We look forward to taking up the Challenges of the Future with the Conscience of Technological Innovation, Environmental Impact, and Sustainability.
