Department of Mechanical Engineering
The department mission is to be a leader in education and research intake of undergraduate course (Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering) is 60 in addition to this the department has central workshop facility having various shops equipped with the production lathe, universal milling machine, TIG and MIG welding machine. The department has well-qualified faculty, and all of them have ME / M. Tech degrees. Many of our faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. degrees. The faculty members are experienced having expertise in design, thermal, industrial, production and are engage in research work in the area s of solar energy, heat transfer, material science, quality and reliability air pollution control, ergonomics manufacturing , automation , and machine design etc apart from teaching. The department has well-furnished CAD/CAM lab consisting of various software’s.
All of the educational programs in the department prepare students for professional practice in an era of rapidly advancing technology. They combine a strong base in the engineering sciences (mechanics, materials, fluid and thermal sciences, systems and control) with project-based laboratory and design experiences. All strive to develop independence, creative talent, and leadership, as well as the capability for continuing professional growth.
Design, Manufacturing, and Product Development is the complete set of activities needed to bring new devices, technologies, and services to the marketplace. These activities span the entire product life-cycle, from the identification of a market opportunity or need, through design, testing, manufacture and distribution, and end of useful life.
The department has well qualified faculties; all of them are with M. E. / M. Tech. degrees. Many of our faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. degrees. The faculty members are experienced having expertise in Design/Thermal/Industrial/Production and are engaged in research work in the areas of Solar Energy, Heat Transfer, Material Science, Quality and Reliability, Air pollution control, Ergonomics, Manufacturing, Automation and Mechanism Design etc. apart from teaching.

Graduates will function in their profession with social awareness and responsibility. Graduates will interact with their peers in other disciplines in industry and society and contribute to the economic growth of the Nation. FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS:
The Mechanical Engineering Students Academic Association (MESAA) works actively for the all-round development of the students by arranging programs like Industrial visits, Seminars, Project Exhibitions, Quiz, Group Discussions, Personality development, Expert Lectures, etc.
The Library under MESAA is available for students.
Teacher-student guardian scheme implemented in the department for better guidance & overall development of the students. All the staff members are the teacher mentors for the groups of fifteen students.
