Department of Chemical Engineering

The Department of Chemical Engineering, established in 1983, is gaining new heights yearly. With 8 well-equipped laboratories with the latest equipment and 300MBPS internet, the department provides the latest technological environment to the students. Nearly 200+ students are being helped and encouraged by 20 faculty members (both teaching and non-teaching).

The department is proud of students who contribute to departmental records through their achievements. Department has successfully conducted many research and consultation work for the various industries.

Chemical Engineering is a core engineering discipline influencing numerous areas of Technology. Chemical engineers “ Develop economic ways of using materials and energy” in broad terms. It influences Medicine, Petrochemicals, Plastics/Polymers, Paints, Rubber, Foods, Oils, Etc. also involves in waste management and research. Chemical Engineering serves as “The Backbone” for the entire spectrum of the process industry.

Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1983 and accredited by NBA and NAAC. The department is offering UG, PG, and Ph.D. under one roof. All the laboratories of the department are recognized for research by SGBA University Amravati. The department has well-experienced faculties. The establishment department has excellent academic results, and our students excel on the university merit list in UG and PG. The department has a professional chapter of the Indian Plastics Institute (IPI) Mumbai. The department has strong Alumni interaction and industry interaction resulting in industrial consultation joint project, MOU, Training, and Placement of students.

We continue to attract excellent undergraduates into our B. Tech, M.Tech. Graduating students continue to pursue a variety of career options, ranging from start-ups to core industry positions. Leading companies have been recruiting our students such as Saint Gobain, Pune, Arvind Composite Ahemdabad, Sidharth Carbochem Jalgaon, WTE Pune, and TAL Nagpur, Akola Chemicals Akola,  Etc.

I wish the best of luck to all the budding chemical engineers for their bright r in the field of chemical engineering.

With Best Regards…
