From the Desk of HOD
First-year engineering plays a key role in shaping students into future engineers. Our department guides and prepares them to excel in a rapidly changing world while helping them stay grounded, sensitive and socially aware. The teaching and learning methods employed by our faculty foster independent thinking and enhance analytical skills.
Students come from diverse backgrounds, so it is important that they feel supported during their transition into college life. Our faculty members mentor students closely, creating an environment where they can share their thoughts, express themselves and feel at home.
The strength of any department lies in its team. We are a family of 16 faculty members and 5 supporting staff, catering to 8 divisions of 60 students each. Our faculty is well qualified, experienced and highly committed. They have an excellent academic track record and are valued by the students for their approachability and teaching quality. The foundation courses offered in the First Year build the core skills required to become successful engineers, and our team ensures that every subject is made simple, engaging and meaningful.
Activities such as expert lectures, industrial visits, technical events, sports, cultural programs and soft skills sessions help broaden students’ perspectives and balance academics with overall development.
Our department is committed to providing a healthy, friendly and competitive learning environment that enables every student to grow into a confident and capable engineer.
