From the desk of HOD

Chemical Engineering is a core engineering discipline that drives innovation across a wide spectrum of technologies. In essence, “Chemical Engineers Apply Chemistry, Physics, Lifesciences, & Engineering Principles to Develop Innovative Technologies & Solve Real-World problems Economically” contributing to Every Fabric of Our Life, including medicine, petrochemicals, polymers, paints, rubber, food processing, edible & industrial oils, waste management, Energy, Environment & research. The field truly serves as the backbone of every industry across the globe.

Established in 1983 & accredited by both NBA & NAAC, we offer UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs under one roof. All our laboratories are recognized for research by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The department is supported by highly experienced faculty members and has consistently delivered excellent academic outcomes. Our students continue to secure top positions in university merit lists at both UG and PG levels since inception.

The department proudly hosts a professional chapter of the Indian Plastics Institute (IPI), Mumbai & a vibrant “Chemical Engineering Students Sports Cultural & Academic Association” (CESSCAA) run by the students. We maintain strong connections with our alumni & industry partners, leading to collaborative projects, MoUs, industrial consultancy, training programs, and robust placement opportunities.

Our B. Tech & M. Tech programs continue to attract talented students who confidently pursue diverse career paths from start-ups to core engineering sectors. Leading companies like Saint Gobain Ltd (Mumbai), Tata Advance Systems Ltd (Nagpur), Arvind Composites (Ahmedabad), C. K. Birla Group- Orient Paper Mill, Amlai (MP), WTE (Pune), Akola Chemicals (Akola), & many others, regularly recruit from our department.

My best wishes to all budding chemical engineers for a bright and impactful future in the ever-evolving field of Chemical Engineering.
