In the advent of fast technological developments it is not possible for students to gain current knowledge from their academic schedule. It is this scenario that made spoken tutorials a need. IIT Mumbai has come up with such spoken tutorials which are offered for small fees.

The department is an authorized center for spoken tutorials on various current technologies like LaTex and XFig, Orca, Scilab, Linux and Ubuntu, Python, PHP and MySQL. About 100 students successfully completed their tutorials on Linux and Ubuntu in this session and were awarded certificates by IIT Mumbai. The activity will be continued throughout the year. Event coordinators Mr. A.R.Deshpande and Mrs. R.S. Jaiswal were promptly observing the proceedings.
