Eligibility conditions and requirements for Engineering / Technology  Admissions (2017-18)
As per the norms of MAHARASHTRA UNAIDED PRIVATE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS (REGULATION OF ADMISSIONS AND FEES) ACT 2015 of  HIGHER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT   Maharashtra  State Mumbai.
The eligibility criteria for First Year admissions at College of Engineering & Technology Akola are :

  • First Year Engineering

 The Candidate should be an Indian National. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.

OR

Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
OR 

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognized University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
AND

Obtained score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority for Maharashtra State seats.
JEE Main Paper I (For 15% All India Quota)

  • First Year Architecture

 The Candidate should be an Indian National. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

OR

Passed (10+3) Full time Diploma examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
AND

The Candidate should have obtained at least 40% marks (i.e. Minimum 80 Marks) at National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry)

The Candidate should be an Indian National. Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

OR

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
AND

Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time.

  • First Year M.E. / M.Tech.

The Candidate should be an Indian National. Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only.

OR

Passed Bachelor Degree  in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought.

AND

Obtained score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology.
For sponsored candidates,  minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
Procedure for Admission
Admission Through Centralized Admission Process ( CAP )
Candidate seeking admission to Engineering / Technology courses are required to appear for MH CET 2017 ( JEE main Paper – I For All India 15% quota) conducted by the respective Competent  Authority. The eligible candidates from Maharashtra State is required to fill online application form for centralized Admission to First Year Engineering & Technology for state quota and All India quota( 15% of total intake). The OMS candidates is also required to submit online application form for All India seats only. The Competent authority “State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai”, shall be authority for centralized Admission Process and direct the students as per their allotment through CAP to all colleges. Admission at Institute Level Quota

The * 20%  seats of sanctioned intake capacity of each course and the seats remaining vacant after last date of reporting of CAP are to be filled by the Institute, on the basis of inter se merit. Eligible candidates seeking Admissions in this quota shall submit their application form to ‘The principal, College of Engineering & Technology, Akola’ on or before the prescribed last date given in the schedule published in local news paper or college web site i.e. www.coeta.ac.in

Fee Structure

*Student to pay Tuition & Development fees, as per the fixation by ‘Fees Regulating Authority Govt. of Maharashtra’ in due course of current academic year. Other details will be displayed on the website and College Notice Board.

Reserved category & Economically backward  candidates taking admission through Centralized admission Process (CAP) will get concession in Tuition & Development fees  as per Government norms. Minority candidate will get Central/ State government minority scholarship. 

Mode of Payment

Payment is to be made through Demand Draft in favor of  ‘The principal, College of Engineering & Technology, Akola’, payable at Akola or from SBI Collect (online) by login on http:// www. onlinesbi.com or http:// www. coeta.ac.in

Refund of Fees after Cancellation Of Admission
The candidate who has been provisionally admitted through CAP Rounds, Institute level may cancel admission by submitting an application in Form ‘O’ to the institute in duplicate.
Refund shall be made after deduction of the cancellation charges as shown below.
